José Bispo Clementino dos Santos (born May 12, 1913 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian samba singer known as Jamelão.[1] He began in music as a tamborim player, but later became known as a kind of crooner in the samba-canção style. He became the official singer at Mangueira carnavals and has toured Europe as a solo performer.[2]
