Jamalpur is a Union Council of Hasilpur which is Tehsil of Bahawalpur. It is union council near to Qaim pur. it has been divided into 4 more parts which consist of Qutab pur,Noorpur,Alipur and Jamalpur.It is referred as Mouza Jamalpur. Main city is well developed and connected with many roads going to many main cities like Bahawalpur, Hasilpur, Vehari, Mailsi and Khairpur.[2]

on east side is head islam and on west side is mailsi city.onnorth side river sutlej is located and on south side Qaim pur city is located.[3]

it is the area located all around the Sutlej River.this is very backward area.soil is sandy and is newly developed from river sutlej afetr being dried.[4]

agriculture is the main source of food and living of jamalpur area.main crops grown here are cotton,wheat,sugarcane,animals rearing and growing fodders for the animals.jamalpur comes in the green belt of Pakistan.its soil is very fertile because of newly developed soil from the sutlej river drying.[5]

Transport of jamalpur is well connected to all adjoining areas like qaim pur,hasilpur,vehari and even lahore directly.it is too small town but it is well connected with all the areas near to it and all the areas of Pakistan by shifiting from bahawalpur and vehrai districts

people of jamalpur are very polite and good in nature.they all are very simple.living style and passions are high

main castes here in jamalpur are Nangana, Mahr and Arain, Bhatti, Mughals, Kokara, Pathan, etc

main personalities of jamalpur are Muhammad Rashid who is first ever ecological engineer fron this area and Mahr Iqbal a political personality,Mahr Rab Nawaz,Mahr Akhtar and so on.
