[edit] Sugestions Required
Mr Sampat, Kindly give some sugestions for improving the articale.so we can make this article proper. --202.91.136.4 04:22, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
- Basically, we need to make sure that the article is based on known facts and not on legend. There is quite a bit of legend surrounding Jalaram's life, but we can't include that information in the article unless it has been cited by reliable sources. Along the same lines, we need to ensure that the article adheres strictly to Wikipedia's NPOV policy, so any references to his "greatness" and such will need to be removed. At the same time, it is important to describe how important he is as a saint to Hindus, especially in Gujarat. The idea, thus, is to present facts in an emotionally detached manner. --Hnsampat 11:49, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cleanup
This article is a good start on the topic of the Gujarati saint Jalaram, but it is poorly written. It is unorganized and does not have the tone of an encyclopedia article. Also, the information presented within it needs to be verified and sourced, to ensure factual accuracy and neutrality and to prevent self-contradiction. (Right now, the article says Jalaram was born in 1800 and died in 1937, meaning that he lived to be 137, a good 15 years older than the current recordholder. If that's the case, we need proof of some kind.) The article is also in dire need of copy-editing to fix its grammar, spelling, and other formatting errors. Once all that is done, it needs to be wikified. --Hnsampat 19:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Total rewrite
Okay, this article's gone from bad to worse. It is still panegyrically POV, totally unsourced, and in need of massive copyediting. I've tagged this article for a total rewrite. The subject of this article is quite notable for millions of Hindus, but the article itself is a total mess. --Hnsampat 15:42, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
