Jaintiapur is located at 25.1250° N 92.1167° E . It has 16719 units of house hold and total area 258.69 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Jaintiapur has a population of 98270. Males constitute are 51.02% of the population, and females 48.98%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 45998. Jaintiapur has an average literacy rate of 21.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
