Jaime Teixidor

Jaime (Jaume) Teixidor (Barcelona 1884-Baracaldo 1957) was a Spanish musician, director and composer.
He studied music and for some years worked for the army as a musician. After leaving the army, in 1924, he went on to direct a band in the town of Carlet where he resided only a couple of years. He went on to Manises, Valencia and, finally, in the late 1920's, he went on to direct the municipal band of Baracaldo which he did until the end of his life.
Probably his best known composition is the pasodoble Amparito Roca.
