Should be expanded. Fellas, that's the opensource world's Adobe Premiere, after all.--Omega Said 23:49, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
..which is at least un-installable on msw (see jahshaka forum). So only 10% of all users can actually use this product and even they report crashes after crashes. I hope their rewrite (version 3) is more stable. greetings and go on open source :)
- I haven't used the latest 2.0 series, but when last I tried (around when I took the screenshot in the article) there was honestly a lot of gold plating and not many features which were useful in a practical sense. There is, or at least was, enough hype surrounding this project that just by reading about it you might think it's the "opensource world's Adobe Premiere", but it has a long way to go if that's the goal (right now it functions more as an effects/compositing program.) Try and edit some video with it and you'll see what I mean.
- However, Cinelerra looks quite promising, although my current linux box is too old to run it so I haven't been able to test it out. -Fadookie Talk 06:41, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
Can somebody write how to pronounce it? -Stargater59 04:04, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I guess Juh-shock-uh. I mean, as a professional 3D animator, this thing is a horrible program. In a development environment it'd be absolutely useless. So though the article might need to be expanded a bit - it's still a useless alpha. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.198.208.98 (talk) 19:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- lol@jah-sha-ka Crash after crash indeed. Useless Alpha, indeed. -b 03:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Funny how people bash a program when it is in alpha... of COURSE it is going to have issues... it's ALPHA. Anyway... the page needs an update. The software is in BETA now.
