Jahangirabad is located at 28.25° N 78.06° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 68 metres (223 feet). Jahangirabad is located on Bulandshahr-Anoopshahr road. Anoopshar is also called as Mini-Kashi due to river Ganga.

As of 2001 India census[2], Jahangirabad had a population of 51,369. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Jahangirabad has an average literacy rate of 51%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 61%, and female literacy is 39%. In Jahangirabad, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age. One of the greatest landmarks of jahangirabad is the institute BBIET&RC. It is an engineering institute which has given some eminent engineers. located at bhaipur doraha. There are regular buggi services between jahangirabad city to bhaipur doraha.

jahangirabad has a historical background also. this was the visit place of Mugal empire Jahangir, he used to go for hunting in this jungle area called "Jahangirabad" now days. there is a famous tample also.there is one Govt. Degree College and two privates. many residents of the city are outside and on very prominent jobs. 'Anurag dixit',who belongs to jahangirabad, is a famous TV Reporter in Parliamentary Channel called "Lok Sabha TV".
