I am a fisheries specialist who has spent eight seasons working on CCAMLR approved vessels working in the exploratory fishery for Antarctic and Patagonian toothfish in the Ross Sea (CCAMLR Statistical Subarea 88.1)and near South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands (Subareas 48.3 and 48.3). My fields of interest are the biology, stock dynamics, reproductive behaviour, stock size, and movement of Antarctic and Patagonian toothfish; and the interaction between this species and other fish, mammal, bird, and cephalapod species that coexist in their environment. I am committed to developing ecologically based management systems to enable rational marine haversting by licenced and regulated fishing vessels working under CCAMLR principles of holistic ecosystem management.
