[edit] Listings

Might I suggest that the list of concert acts that have appeared at this venue has simply become inappropriate. Wikipedia is not a collection of lists, and I think that it is silly and pointless to list all the acts that have appeared at any concert site, in any city. 80-90% of the acts here will be the same as a similar list for St. Louis, or Charlotte, or Phoenix, or San Jose. So there's just no point, and it makes the article long and ungainly. It also means just adding on every time there's an act there. Can you imagine opening up Britannica and finding a list of all the acts that had appeared at Madison Square Garden?

It might be noteworthy to mention a couple of acts in such an article. For example, the Beatles appeared at the old Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, and there are a limited number of venues that can lay claim to have hosted the biggest act in music history. The first act to play in a concert hall might also merit mention. An unusual act—such as a 21st century Simon & Garfunkel reunion, would be worth mentioning. But mindlessly listing every act is non-encyclopedic. I intend to delete the list if there is no consensus to keep it. Unschool 23:30, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
