- Oppose. How can this possibly be merged with 2 dozen other fetishes? How is this in any way similar to Foot Fetish ... it isn't, so how can they be merged? As for it being a "minor fetish", spuggie1234.com alone gets over 350,000 hits a month and there are tonnes of other websites on it. Yahoo groups has 16 adult groups on the subject with two of the groups being in the top 2% (in membership numbers) of their 25,000 groups. Type jacket fetish into Google and you get over a million results. If you want to call it a "minor fetish" then please substantiate this with facts; just because you've not heard of it before doesn't mean it's minor!
What does "next to no information" mean? It presents several aspects of the fetish giving reasons for each. If that's not enough then comments on what extra info you'd like would be far more constructive than suggesting ridiculous mergers.
Having looked at your example page, it's quite appaling! Spelling and grammar mistakes galore and you've reduced some much larger articles to a couple of lines yet your justification for the merger is that the originals contain little information. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but if your justification is not enough info, then how can you possibly think that providing even less information in your merged items is an improvement?--Spuggie 19:31, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Redirecting this article to a single line in a "Garment fetish" is ridiculous. This article is FAR more informative than a single line which simply says the fetish exists. The garment fetish article suffers from the same problems that the "List of fetishes" article had and that was removed TWICE under different guises so there is no justification for you trying to re-direct this article. ~~
- The article in its form here was totally unsourced and was comprised of original research. By redirecting it to the Garment fetishism article we can make a note of it's obvious existence without the huge policy violations of its previous version. If you have sources for jacket fetishism then please add them to the Garment fetishism article. As sourced material is added we can branch it back off to a independant article when it supports enough attributed material to do so. NeoFreak 20:35, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
