I tested some of the external links and they were found to be not working - going to the sites returned page errors. This occurred in three cases and those links have now been corrected and updated. - Abdullah Azzam

[edit] Holly, Cissos etc.

The unsourced stuff about Holly & Ivy, Cissos etc. isn't relevant, is it? I've deleted it. —Ashley Y 22:11, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Hands up, it was my fault - I put that info in there. Discussion of Holly and Ivy not relevant? Well, the crowns that the bogies wear are made of ivy, though I am not sure that all bogies would be aware of the background or significance, nor am I entirely sure what it means to these people. I have tried contacting bogies who partake in Jack in the Green, but it is hard. It is quite possibly a folk custom with no deeper significance. The source I got the info from was a pagan source, I believe, therefore there could have been bias within the material (not necessarily inaccuracy, it could be quite true). Same goes for Cissos. I was trying to insert text making an examination of the deeper issues and background. I can make a second look for the source if you like, though if it is not relevant here there may be little point. abdullahazzam

[edit] ADF reference

If a reference is made in an article with something like [1], isn't it supposed to go into a 'Reference' section with a link to the site/source there? abdullahazzam
