Jacob Butterfield (born 10 June 1990 in Bradford) is an English professional footballer currently playing in the Football League Championship for Barnsley.
Butterfield has been described as a star of the future for Barnsley by Simon Davey. He made his debut for Barnsley in a Carling Cup tie against Newcastle United in August of 2007 coming on as a substitute for Martin Devaney during a 2-0 loss.
