Jackie Fullerton is a Northern Irish television presenter and journalist, who is currently a reporter and soccer commentator for BBC Northern Ireland.
Jackie's broadcasting career began in the early 1970s as a reporter and presenter for Ulster Television. He appeared on UTV Reports, Good Evening Ulster, Sportscast, Six Tonight and UTV Live. During his time at UTV, he travelled with the Northern Ireland national football team to the 1982 FIFA World Cup and also reported on the annual Milk Cup youth soccer tournament in Coleraine. In his earlier days Jackie was a footballer and played for Crusaders FC and Derry City FC (both of the Irish League) among others.
In 1992, Jackie moved from UTV to BBC Northern Ireland, as the station's main sports commentator for live coverage of Irish Football League and Northern Ireland international matches. He also presented and reported on a variety of sports for Inside Ulster and BBC Newsline. Since 2004, his duties on BBC Newsline have been as a reporter only.
Jackie has regularly co-hosted and taken part in BBC Northern Ireland's Children In Need strands.
He specialises in analysis of soccer, rugby union, motorcycle racing and Gaelic sports.
Fullerton also appeared with George Jones and Clubsound to record the single 'We're Not Brazil, We're Northern Ireland', along with b-sides 'I'm Yer Man' and 'Mexico, Here We Come'.
