Jackfield Halt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jackfield Halt was an unstaffed request stop on the Severn Valley line in Shropshire, England. Originally opened west of Maw's sidings in 1934, it was relocated to a new position to the east of these sidings on 1 March 1954, because of the danger of landslip. Although thought by some people to have been closed as part of the Beeching axe in 1963 its planned closure pre-dated his report. The halt was demolished shortly after closure.
