Jaakko Syrjä

Jaakko Johannes Syrjä is a Finnish author born on March 7, 1926 in the county of Pälkäne. He has written numerous novels in the Finnish language, and he has won the Tampere Literary Award (In Finnish: Tampereen kaupungin kirjallisuuspalkinto) twice, in 1956 and 1966. Also, he won the Finnish Society of Literature (In Finnish: Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seuran) Award in 1966.
