how many times did jpr williams play in the pack for wales

Is there any source for the allegation that he did NOT win junior Wimbledon? The interview with the Times states otherwise and even gives a score and an opponent for that final game. --youghal 16:10, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I have just read JPR's authobiography, which states he DID win junior Wimbledeon. I will try to find some supporting evidence to link to. [AndyL]

The Junior Wimbledon Final in 1966 was played between a Russian and Newzealander (Korotkov vs. Farlie). Korotkov won in straight sets. Perhaps John Williams won a competition in Wimbledon at around that time, but I do not believe he has ever won an official Wimbledon title. [J)

There is no doubt that the above contributor is correct and I cannot understand why JPR allowed his final edited autobiography to even suggest that he won Junior Wimbledon. (At)
