J.T. Gulick was an American naturalist who is credited with the first modern evolutionary study of Hawaiian land snails. [1] According to journalist Beverly Stearns and zoology professor Stephen Stearns, Gulick's collection methods resulted in the extinction of many endemic Hawaiian snail species.
