J. Michael MacDonald

J. Michael MacDonald is the 22nd Chief Justice of Nova Scotia. He replaced Constance Glube in 2005.

In 1995, Michael MacDonald was appointed to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, and was elevated to Associate Chief Justice in 1998.

He graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1978. Prior to his appointment to the bench he was a partner at the Halifax firm of Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales.

Macdonald is a rumoured candidate for an appointment to the Supreme Court of Canada.
