I might be the only one, but I wonder why it has a dutch name. The german version (I'm german) doesn't mention it, and the article gives no hints are why it has one (the dutch article confirms the name, but I can't read dutch to get more info out of it :) jae 17:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

The Swedish Wikipedia says: Staden är också känd under äldre stavningar som exempelvis Guelich och Gülich. Ad43 06:47, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
I always thought it came from the Roman name, which was Iulicum or something like that.MarritzN (talk) 19:32, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
