There is some confusion regarding this page. There are apparently two Polish painters by this name who died about 50 years apart. WIth a few minutes of Google-looking, I haven't been able to sort it out, but I removed this discussion-type comment from the article page.

"The article about Józef Brodowski on the Polish Wikipedia site lists his lifespan as 1828-1900 and says he was born and died in Warsaw, Poland."
