[edit] Adoption offer

Hello Ivejustbegun, I saw that you wanted to be adopted and thought that I might offer myself. I have been on Wikipedia for nearly twelve months, in which I have made over 2,200 edits, created three articles (two of which have been displayed in the 'Did You Know?' section of the Main Page), and improved an article to GA status among other things. How about it? Thanks HarrisonB - Talk 06:51, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey there - let me chip in by saying that Harrison will make a great adopter for you - and I note that you have accepted - that's great - good luck you two. Cheers--VS talk 08:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Excellent, thankyou for accepting me as your adopter, and thankyou VS for those kind words of endorsement (VS 'unofficially' adopted me when I was starting out). I apologise for not getting back to you earlier, I have had a very busy weekend. Now for you're first lesson; always provide an edit summary after an edit. An edit summary makes it a whole lot easier to go through the revision history of a page, basically a whole lot more convenient for other editors. A good tip is to go into My Preferences (which is located at the top right corner when you are logged in), click the Editing tab and check the box that says Remind me to provide an edit summary (or something on the lines of that). Now I will check your contributions often, and just to warn you I will hound you on it. Thanks, and tell me about yourself. I see that you are interested in celebrities? Thanks HarrisonB - Talk 10:39, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Ah, I am a male 14 year old from Sydney. Are you male? Female? HarrisonB - Talk 04:56, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Ok; feel free to ask me questions anytime. Do you know about Manual of Style and other wiki-rules? HarrisonB - Talk 08:43, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Beware Sinebot

You are going very well "Ivejustbegun" and I can see you forming a great relationship with Harrison. Do you mind if I chip in from a distance too - with my compliments - Can I tell you to "beware sinebot" (if you go back to you edits at Harrison's talk page you will see what I mean). Sinebot is a robot that adds your signature when you forget to sign. Signing yourself is easy just type four tildes ~~~~ at the end of every comment you make on a talk page (You will probably find the tildes near the top left of your computer keyboard). Best wishes. --VS talk 04:33, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Have a look at the links and after you have read them talk to me. Thanks HarrisonB - Talk 05:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
