[edit] Survey
WP:Good article usage is a survey of the language and style of Wikipedia editors in articles being reviewed for Good article nomination. It will help make the experience of writing Good Articles as non-threatening and satisfying as possible if all the participating editors would take a moment to answer a few questions for us, in this section please. The survey will end on April 30.
- Would you like any additional feedback on the writing style in this article?
- If you write a lot outside of Wikipedia, what kind of writing do you do?
- Is your writing style influenced by any particular WikiProject or other group on Wikipedia?
At any point during this review, let us know if we recommend any edits, including markup, punctuation and language, that you feel don't fit with your writing style. Thanks for your time. - Dan Dank55 (talk)(mistakes) 03:03, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

- Those 2 pictures towards the bottom have really broken up the article, there are too many mini sections in the CULTURE section which are completely unnessary. I think removing all these subheadings and shifting the pictures around will really help.
- The origins of the Ivatans remained "unsettled by" scholars. - unsettled amongst would be better. im not sure "unsettled" is the best word to use either.
- Christianized - odd word
- Changed "Christianized people" to "Christians". Is that better --Efe (talk) 01:49, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Their now famous stone houses - famous need source. Add sentance should also be added to the housing sub section.

- coming of Spaniards - needs rewording
- The Ivatans were under Spain for 115 years, and was freed in September 18, 1898. - under spain, that needs better wording, freed on ....., freed well kinda pov, say something like independance.
- Ironically, June 6 is celebrated in Batanes as its founding day. - source
- They also have strong mixture of the short Mongol type - needs clarification.
- In 1990, population of the Ivatans was 15,026, an increase of 24% over the 1980 population of 12,091. These were distributed to the six municipalities, with 38% residing in Basco, 23% in Itbayat, 12% in Sabtang, 11% in Mahatao and 8% for Uyugan and Ivana.[2] In the 2000 census, 15,834 Ivatans comprised of the 16,421 population in Batanes.[4] - lots of wiki linking possible here
