[edit] Sanatised Channel list?...
ITV Digital broadcast Televsion X and other Adult PPV channels, and these are ommited from the list? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zonknz (talk • contribs) 21:07, 13 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Damages Amount Incorrect?
Did they really only get £4 in damages? I'd have thought it must be £4m in damages. Can someone clear this up?
- It really was only £4. Check the link to the BBC news report from 2006. -- Arwel (talk) 00:07, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Set Top Boxes were originally bought outright, also ONd paid for aerial upgrades
The article fails to mention that ONdigital STBs were originally bought outright from electrical stores such as Currys - mine, for instance, was a Philips DTX6370 which cost, at the time of buying, some £200. However retailers generally would not supply an STB to people whose postcode was not listed as having ONdigital coverage.
Very shortly after I bought my STB (in April/May 1999 as far as I remember), and apparently in response to Sky's "free" DigiBox offer, ONdigital started their "loan" scheme. Those, like me, who bought their boxes outright as early adopters, were exempt from the (ultimately failed) attempt to reclaim STBs as the boxes were our property, not that of ITV Digital's administrators.
The article also omits the ONdigital aerial subsidy - people living in areas supposedly with full ONd coverage who were experiencing reception problems could apply for a replacement TV aerial for a flat fee (including a high gain aerial, cables and installation by an ONd-selected contractor) of £50. This improved reception considerably, but must have cost ONdigital a packet! Tonywalton Talk 11:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
