You won't be able to do that to past edits, but all edits you make now and after will have your name on it. Dysprosia 15:08, 30 Aug 2003 (UTC)
I added CTC to the list of group companies. Although a complete list of group companies would be too long, I feel that CTC should be included in the list. When CTC did its IPO, its market value temporarily exceeded that of its parent Itochu. CTC is one of the most important members of the Itochu group.
[edit] "C.Itochu"
The article asserts that the company was previously called "C.Itochu". When and in which language/market was this? -- Hoary 02:34, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Itochu incorporated in 1918 under the name C. Itoh & Co., using “CI” logo until 1992, when C. Itoh & Co. rebranded itself as ITOCHU[1]. --220.98.192.2 09:38, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- But "& Co." isn't Japanese; it's English. And the page seems to have the company giving itself an English name while it probably wasn't doing anything outside Japan, which is absurd. Yup, here we are: this page tells us that the name in Japanese from 1918 was Itōchū Shōji KK (伊藤忠商事株式会社). The page doesn't mention any English name, but does say that it got a new English name in 1992.
- So the Japanese name of the company was unchanged, and at no time was "C.Itochu" used in Japanese (which would anyway be almost inconceivable) or English.
- Incidentally, lots of Japanese companies like to CAPITALIZE THEIR NAMES (e.g. "SANYO") but WP ignores such exhibitionism. -- Hoary 12:50, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
