Item-Attendant ICT

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

is a computing term used to refer to the body of knowledge, techniques, principles, applications methodology and technologies used for automatic or semi-automatic identification, data capture and data transfer in management or other process support requirements with respect to tangible physical items, including assets, people and locations.[1] The application of item-attendant ICT principles can provide greater visibility and more effective management of supply chain information with effective attention to temporal and spatial factors governing the movement and handling of supply chain items.
