It is surprising that in the account of the Second War of Independence , no reference is made ro Garibaldi and his Expedition of the Thousand. This was the key event that enabled Cavour to become the first Prime Miistet md Victor Emmanuel to be the first King of Italy. I casn write more about this another time. [edit] This is garbage

This needs to be reworked considerably. It was probably written by an Italian.

Justa joking (but not about the reworking part). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 154.5.23.99 (talk) 03:40, 22 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] World War I

I have added an internal link to World War I, there should be a section likening the war to a fourth unification/independence war for Italy, as it is viewed by many as the final realization of a united Italian state. --NEMT 02:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
