It Changes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"It Changes" is a sad song from the 1972 Peanuts film musical, Snoopy Come Home. It is sung by Chad Webber, and was written by Robert and Richard Sherman. The song was arranged and conducted by Don Ralke.
The song is a non-sync recording and occurs in the storyline when Charlie Brown believes that his pet dog, Snoopy will not ever be coming home again. The song is about recognizing the changes in life and dealing with them.[1]
"Charlie Brown's Calliope" is the instrumental (sans vocal) version of this song played while Charlie Brown contemplates the changes in his life. Like much of the musical arrangement, it has a lilting, psychodelic feeling often associated with the early 1970s. It is orchestrated with instruments usually asscociated with music accompanying merry go rounds.
The song was also recorded by Peggy Lee in 1972, but her version was not released until 2004. [1]
