The IT8212 is a RAID controller chip made by Taiwanese chip company ITE, Inc. The IT8212 is not a Parallel ATA controller used with a FakeRAID driver. Instead, it is a true hardware RAID implementation with an embedded microprocessor.
As of 2005, the IT8212 is used in low-end RAID cards, such as this CompUSA PATA RAID Card.
