It's My Turn
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"It's My Turn" is a 1980 song, which was also developed into a film of the same name. The song, written by Carole Bayer Sager and Michael Masser for Diana Ross, was released as a single and became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number nine. That same year, it was also developed into a film starring Michael Douglas and Jill Clayburgh, with a screenplay written by Eleanor Bergstein.
The producers of It's My Turn cut out an erotic dancing scene from Bergstein's screenplay, which sparked her to go on and write a new script which focused more on dancing, and this then became the 1987 hit film, Dirty Dancing.
