ISO 14651
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ISO/IEC 14651:2001, titled Information technology -- International string ordering and comparison -- Method for comparing character strings and description of the common template tailorable ordering, is an ISO Standard specifying algorithms that might be used when ordering or comparing two or more strings (Unicode does not require that string comparison be performed according to these algorithms).
This ISO Standard is aligned with the Unicode Collation Algorithm (UCA) specified in Unicode Technical Standard #10.
There are two published amendments to this standard, one in 2003 and the other in 2006.
