[edit] IMK / IUK

"The Islamic Movement operates from the town of Halabjah and after the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan it is currently the third largest party in Northern Iraq. "

I thought that the Kurdistan Islamic Union is the 3rd largest.

Have these two been confused or are they the same organisation? AndrewRT 17:59, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

I think they have been confused. At the elections in December 2005 the IUK vas the third largest party (well actually it was the second largest list) in Kurdistan, since the two big ones tried to get everybody onto their combined backroomrigged list "The Patriotic Alliance of Kurdistan" --Vindheim 19:15, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Ok I've removed then AndrewRT 13:35, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kurdish Islamic Organisations

I don't think this section belongs in this article - I suggest it is taken out and made into a separate article (or better still, category) AndrewRT 18:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
