Talk:Islam in Somalia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why has the author of the current article been allowed to write such a flawed piece? Some months ago i visited this same page, and there was a far better article up, which was far more substantial (i.e. actually mentioned the start of Islam in Somalia) and accurate. Somaliwarrior (talk)

This article has several inaccuracies, including the statement that Islam was modified by Somalis. The authors of this article clearly wrote it with the intention of discrediting the Somali people and further isolating them from the rest of the muslim world. To really study Islam in Somalia, one needs merely to visit the country and observe. It is obvious that the authors did not really visit the country; they obtained their information from sources who intended on making the Somali people look like a bunch of wild renegades.
While I don't have enough knowledge of Islam in Somalia to comment either way, I would like to. Could whoever wrote the above comment perhaps help to improve upon this article? I might even read up a bit on my own to see if I can contribute anything as well. MezzoMezzo 21:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
