Islam in Burundi

Muslims in Burundi are officially around 1% of the total population, though Muslim Burundians estimate the figure to be closer to 8-10%.^{[citation needed]} The CIA World Factbook also puts the figure at 10%.^[1] Burundi is by constitution a secular state, although Eid Al-Fitr is among several national holidays.^[2]
