Isis is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Comics universe, based loosely on the Isis of Egyptian mythology.

[edit] Fictional character biography
Isis is a member of the Heliopolitan race of gods, and resides in Celestial Heliopolis. She is the wife of Osiris, sister of Seth, and mother of Horus. Her parents are Geb and Nut. Isis is the Egyptian goddess of fertility and domestication.
Isis encountered Thor and Odin. She participated in the Ceremony of Rebirth which reincarnated Odin as Atum-Re. She allied with Thor against Seth.[1]
Isis and Osiris were later seen at the mercy of Seth's army. She witnessed Thor and the Thing battle Seth and the Devourer.[2]
Isis's powers were later stolen by Seth.[3] The powers of the Heliopolitan gods stolen by Seth were later returned to them.[4]

Isis has all the powers of a member of the race of superhumans known as the Egyptian gods of Heliopolis. She has superhuman strength, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes. Isis possesses vast control over control over elemental forces, including the ability to raise the dead. She also has extensive knowledge of Egyptian magical lore.
