Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan (alternative spelling: Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan) is, as of 2008, the Governor of the province of Sindh in Pakistan.

Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad (born 03rd March 1963) has lived in a middle class society in the blocks of North Nazimabad, Karachi. He is a key member of the Muttahida Quami Movement. He was elected as minister of industry in 1990. As a minister, Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad has visualised, conceived, planned and completed significant Mega Projects such as:

• Jam Sadiq Bridge over Malir River, the longest bridge in Karachi
• Split-level Expressway, first of its kind in Pakistan
• Shaheed-e-Millat Highway
Conceived and planned:
• NIPA Flyover
• University Road Bridge
• Bridge over KCR, Gulistan-e-Jauhar
Planned and started:
• Scheme-36, Gulistan-e-Jauhar
• Scheme-41, Surjani Town
• Scheme-42, Hawks'bay
He came to United Kingdom in 1993, afterwards he acquired a British passport in 2002. Dr Ishrat was selected as Governor of Sindh, where he took oath on the 27th December 2002- present.

Dr Ishrat, with the completion of 5 years yet as the Governor of Sindh. Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad has solved many crises which no Governor has done in the past. He has controlled many fatal situations such as the cataclysm on 12th May 2007. With all his efforts, working day and night, he has controlled the law and order very carefully
Achievements as a Governor of Sindh
As a Governor, he has achieved an enormous amount of achievements and proved himself a man of his world by honouring his commitments to the people of Sindh, which are:
• Improvement in Law and Order situation which helps in developing a better and a peaceful society.
• Elimination of urban and rural bias in the implementation of development schemes (Macro Policy)
• Restoration of 178 closed industries and of the Scheme 33
• Resolution of issues (water, roads and electricity)
• Improvement and encouragement of foreign investment (hotel occupancy and delegations)
• Promotion of education and development of welfare system
• Poor people have access to easy medicines and medical tests in calibration with private sector
• Idea of Master plan in Karachi
• Implementation of housing schemes in several areas of Sindh
• More security- less crimes
• Investment of quality time and funds in every sector including health, education, culture and industries
• Promotion of Sectorial Harmony
• Introduction of reforms in the formation in educational Board
• More tourist sites planned for visitors and local society
• Underpasses and Highways planned in order to reduce traffic around Karachi and Hyderabad
• More commuting and transport facilities available for local people
• He has reconstructed several education universities such as IBA.
