[edit] French

The article mentions this: Le Roi et l'oiseau (The King and the Mockingbird), which seems odd to me. Is that the proper title of that work in English? Because "oiseau" just means "bird" in French, it's not specific to any particular type. But I also realize that titles don't always translate exactly, so I don't know if it's correct or a mistranslation because I'm not familiar with that work.

[edit] Famous

one of the most famous? i don't think he is as famous as miyasaki and otomo...

He isn't, but if your Japanese or French, he's very widely known. Grave of the Fireflies is also famous in the United States at least among film buffs, and anime fans.

I actually dispute this claim, he has a wide following in Japan and the U.S. He isn't as popular with the younger generation, but he definitely has a wide following. YoungWebProgrammerMsg me 17:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Grave of the Fireflies is very famous among anyone who knows much about anime. I'd say that makes him well known.

[edit] Text rewrite

The text could do with a rewrite by a native English speaker… —Liyang 13:13, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I agree, but I lack the time to do it right now. But I will consider rewriting it in the near future. This article is very difficult to follow. YoungWebProgrammerMsg me 17:01, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
