He retired from the faculty of North Carolina State University. He is now the CEO of Binary Analytical Consultants, providing analytical services in the areas of Plant Opal Phytoliths and computer morphometric analysis of microfossils and macroremains (e.g. seeds) as well as a full range of archaeological artifact categories.
