At article wrote: "The city has the nearby all-seasons snow-tipped mountain of Jabal El-Sheikh." I don't know about Irbid but this is very strange, even the south of Golan Heights doesn't have this and their between Hermon and Irbid... Troll Refaim 20:20, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

The claim was in the original article before I edited it. I assumed it was true but there are no real references to back it up. And i suppose how the original author defined "near". - Master Of Ninja 08:11, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
I'm from Irbid and lived there for 10 years. Regarding the Shikh Mountain, it can be seen from Irbid in a clear summer day. I deleted the see also section as well some othe places that hold no historical or tourism significance.you can contact me on the arabic wilipedia A Obeidat


If memory serves wasnt Irbid the location of where the PLO set up their defacto state during the 1970 civil war? If so that seems to be a major history point to add?
