This template created to assist the readers for better understanding of the relationship between Iranian languages (modern and old), and their developments, from 2000 B.C.E. to modern era. Also the table needes further languages to be added, such as Soghdian, Yaghnubi, Ossetic, Kumzari and Tati/Talishi. ← ← Parthian Shot (Talk) 15:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

It's good for examples, but the title for this template would have also been good for a similar one like Template:Turkic languages which is added to every random article such as Khorasani Turkish language --Rayis 19:41, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Please add words that are corresponding with each other within Iranian languages group, since this is a comparison table not a dictionary. Also, please do not deploy Turkish transliteration or IPA such as ç and ş; - instead please use č or ch and š or sh. Thanks ← ← Parthian Shot (Talk) 06:48, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

If you want to include this table in the related articles, it should be shortened. It's better to mention only only 15-20 frequently-used words (e.g. 10 numbers and 5-10 other words). Jahangard 18:13, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I do agree too. I have created this template based on already existed Zazaki table, and that's why I have not changes it, except adding few words, such as sibling and parental terms. ← ← Parthian Shot (Talk) 07:53, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

The Pashto needs to be cleaned up a lot. I have made some fixes. Also, I have put in the standard names of the languages as we refer to them in English. azalea_pomp

It seems that the list of words are not cherry picked known IE/Iranian roots, but just common words in Iranian languages so there are a lot of loans. Azalea pomp 19:22, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
