According to Russian tradition?? What tradition is behind this "Church on Blood"? Please someone elaborate on that.65.110.30.103 07:56, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

The churches on blood commemorate spots where the sainted members of Russian royalty were murdered. One such monument "on blood" (with bloody-red walls) is the 17th-century church in Uglich, marking the spot where Tsarevich Demetrius had been killed. A better known example is the Church of the Savior on Blood in St. Petersburg. --Ghirla -трёп- 08:20, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
