Iowa Chicken
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Iowa Chicken is a man in a chicken suit that follows John McCain[1] and Rudy Giuliani[2] around Iowa with a sign that reads "You 'Bawk'ed at the Straw Poll!" to protest and bring attention to that fact that they are not competing in the Iowa Straw Poll.[3][4] In the past, all of the Republican candidates for president have competed in the Straw Poll, and their decisions not to attend represents a break from tradition.
The identity of the Iowa Chicken has not been revealed, but he or she follows an American campaign tradition, including such precedents as 2000's Corn Man.
