[edit] Important News

Ta Mok dies at 80. I blame the UN and Hun Sen for him dying without his trial even started. --Ionius Mundus 21:49, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Important elections are taking place in the Seychelles and Kongo-Kinshasa. Hopefully Michel will remain President in the Seychelles, and hopefully Guy-Patrice Lumumba or Antoine Gizenga will win in the Kongo, though we don't know what to expect. I highly doubt that this will happen, and I am already beginning to believe that Kabila rigged the elections. --Ionius Mundus 04:07, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

It looks like the Seychelles People's Progressive Front is going to win again! --Ionius Mundus 17:58, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Just as I predicted (without much difficulty), things are getting quite bad, with a growing amount of violence. However, I am happy that Antoine Gizenga has gotten one province. I hope he is in the runoff elections. --Ionius Mundus 03:14, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Fidel Castro temporarily hands over power to his brother. Though this provides little hope for Cuba, foolish Batista supporters are acting as though it is over. --Ionius Mundus 00:24, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Today is the anniversary of the Alexandros Panagoulis attempt to kill dictator Georgios Papadopoulos of Greece in 1968. --Ionius Mundus 18:41, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
