This article could really do with an update - they have found Mycenaean sherds at Miletus as well as earlier evidence of colonization than the 8th century.--Dcsmith 05:56, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I agree. The history section gives nothing of the early history and settlement scenarios. Alcmaeonid 17:38, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
