[edit] The cops of the cops

In the American film series Lethal Weapon, Internal Affairs is nicknamed InFernal Affairs and considered "the cops of the cops".

Are they called "the cops of the cops" in real life? I ask this question because in France, e.g. in newspapers, they are often called police des polices (the police of the polices: I think the plural for the second occurrence of "police" refers to the various branches of the French national police, i.e. it doesn't mean the IGS or IGPN is in charge of Gendarmerie or other agencies). [edit] Page Move?

Why is this page at "Internal affairs (law enforcement)" when "Internal affairs" just redirects to it? Couldn't this just be the main Internal affairs page? Is there some other article that could go here? 138.69.160.1 19:55, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
