Talk:Interactive television
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I wondered if it might be an idea to list some broadcasters around the world who have deployed flagship interactive TV projects, such as (in the UK at least) the BBC and Sky. Bigpinkthing 14:58, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikifying
I am going to wikify this article, but as I am not an expert on the subject, so it might need tweaking by one when I am finished Abhorreo 01:00, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Wikified. The article could still use less lists. Abhorreo 01:18, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] External links
Many of the external links appear to be Link spam. In any case, there are certainly more links then are necessary. si»abhorreo»T 07:29, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Reverted to a very early version of the external links section for above reasons. If I accidentally removed a legitimate link in the process, please mention it here before making changes. If you don't, your additions may immediately be reverted. si»abhorreo»T 07:45, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Removed link to DTV Jobs (UK) as this website has been empty since 2004 and is not used for recruitment by the UK industry! Bigpinkthing 15:00, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
It is suggested that the external link to UITV.INFO (http://uitv.info/) is replaced-back. The web site is a useful portal to academic resources (news, theses, articles, conferences) about interactive TV. Moreover, the web site has been maintained by academics who are experts in interactive digital television (numerous journal articles and book publications). Finally, UITV.INFO reflects the opinions and knowledge of the respective academic area, which is much more wide that the (industry-based) description provided in the current article. We should also consider revising the text of the wikipedia entry accordingly, so that it reflects state-of-the-art knowledge (to-do soon). "edited by konstantinos chorianopoulos"
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Bb-negative-energy-2.jpg
Image:Bb-negative-energy-2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] ITV
I removed: "It is sometime called interactive TV, iTV, idTV or ITV (not to be confused with the British Independent Television network)."
This is because ITV, as rights owners of the trademark ITV, have complained. If it can be reliably sourced to prominent independent sources, it can go back in, but not until then, please. Preferably a couple of good sources, with an inline citation, OK? Thanks, Guy (Help!) 14:46, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
