Intracerebral myiasis

Intracerebral myiasis is an infestation of the brain by a Hypoderma bovis (also know as Warble fly) larva. These larvae can penetrate into the brain by a path which remains unknown. Possible effects include convulsions, intracerebral hematoma and clinical signs. This condition is very rare with only three cases in medical literature.
