Intervac International is a worldwide organisation that facilitates exchanges of homes ("home exchange" or "house swapping") for vacations. Proponents of this form of travel call it culturally-enriching, comfortable and economic - while promoting international contacts and understanding. Intervac was founded in 1953. It is the longest operating home exchange service. Intervac currently has on average 10,000 members based in 50 countries worldwide.
