Internet in Croatia

In Croatia ADSL was introduced in 2000. It is controlled by monopoly operator T-Com [1],
which is former HT (Hrvatski telekom meaning Croatian telecom). Local loop is expected to be unbundling after 01.09.2006. so we will see 2-3 companies offering ADSL2+ Internet Access and TriplePlay. DSL is the most common form of broadband. The list of DSL providers in croatia is:
- T-Com adsl [2]
- Iskon d.o.o. (owned by T-Com) [3]
- Amis Telekom d.o.o. [4]
- Optima Telekom [5]
- Metronet [6]
- Transintercom d.o.o. [7]
- Magic Telekom d.o.o. [8]
There is one WiMax provider:Novi net d.o.o. [9], and a Fiber to the Home provider Vodatel d.o.o. [10] - FTTH (Fiber To The Home)
Croatia also has Cable Internet available, however it is not as widespread as ADSL. There is one Cable internet provider in Croatia: B.net Hrvatska d.o.o. [11].
