The International School for Scientific Computing was founded in 1994 by Prof W.-H. Steeb, Dr. F. Solms and Prof C. M. Villet. The aim of the school is firstly to fulfill the need in the IT and high-technology industry for professional training in scientific computing, software engineering and hardware engineering, allowing companies to remain up to date with the rapid developments in IT tools and technology. Secondly the school offers scientific and computational consulting services. These include the development of custom-designed software and hardware. The International School for Scientific Computing also assists in object-oriented and mathematical analysis and modeling.
