International Human Rights Association (IHRA)

International Human Rights Association (IHRA) is a non-profit voluntary organization working in the cause of down trodden and suppressed people without regard to their background.

The vision of IHRA is the formation of a fearless and resilient society on the basis of truthfulness and non violence, allowing peaceful existence of all, irrespective of caste, creed, sex and religion. The vision is for a society of human rights followers.

The IHRA mission statement is:

Transformational development of the people through participatory practices on sustained basis

The organisation focuses on women and childen and undertakes various activities under following components:

  • Human rights
  • women and child development programme
  • Sustainable rural development programme
  • Campaign on child labor, street children, environment, Panchayati Raj,
  • Women and child rights
  • campaign again women foeticides, etc.

Funds are raised through local contribution and member’s fees, and from national and international donors .
